![]() As much as I tried I wasn't able to recreate the paper like texture and balanced colours of the Asus even when placing the monitors next to each other and playing around with the picture settings. The white balance is cold but can easily be adjusted. Out of the box colour is acceptable, but can be improved by calibrating. Using ClearType didn't resolve the issue but increasing the sharpness in the display setting did a little, however this introduced artifacts on static images. The M27Q felt somewhat fuzzy in comparison. ![]() This was highlighted when I put the two monitors side by side (Haven't posted the Asus back yet) and opened Chrome. Well, it wasn't that bad, but it's noticeable and once you've seen it you'll notice every time. ![]() I knew of the BGR subpixel layout before I bought it and how this can impact sharpness, especially on text, but I thought to myself it can't be that bad surely. So, first impressions after turning it on were ok, but not mind blowing. I won't make this super long, but I wanted to share my impressions on going from what can be considered a more premium monitor to a budget one. Amazon have actually agreed to a full refund despite the time I've had it so that's why in the market for a new screen.
